Question about Kodak DX6440 camera and dock?

When you set it on the dock is it supposed to sort of "plug in" or does it just sit loosely on the 6000 dock and vibrate a little bit? Is there any way you can tell when it is charging?
I got it off ebay, so not sure about the plastic insert…

If you replaced the universal insert in the dock with the custom insert provided with your DX6440, it should be a snug fit. If there is no clear plastic insert in the dock (a plastic plate that is nearly as big as the mating surface of the dock), it would indeed be very wobbly and you run the risk of bending or breaking the plug on the dock or receptical on the camera.
